Homelessness & Housing Solutions Officer in Redditch

Triumph Consultants are looking for a Homelessness & Housing Solutions Officer to deliver specialist homelessness and housing advice, focusing on preventing and relieving homelessness and securing sustainable housing solutions. Contract is for 3 months in Redditch B98 8AH.

Homelessness & Housing Solutions Officer

Pay Rate: £15.43 per hour PAYE

Hours per week: 37.5 Monday - Friday, 9:00-17:30

Contract length: 3 months with scope to become extended

Location: Redditch B98 8AH

Hybrid - 2 days per week on site

Candidates are to undertake a Basic DBS application after successful interview stage

Key requirements:

• At least 3 years' experience working in homelessness, housing options or a relevant advice service.
• In-depth knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation, regulation, policy and relevant case law.
• Experience managing complex, contentious and sensitive cases in highly charged situations.
• Strong casework skills, including producing clear, robust reports and legally sound decisions.
• Highly organised, able to prioritise workloads and work effectively with customers, colleagues and partner agencies.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a designated caseload, assessing and investigating homelessness applications across all tenures.
• Provide customer-focused housing advice and practical solutions to prevent or relieve homelessness.
• Arrange suitable temporary accommodation for applicants where the Council has a statutory duty.
• Maintain accurate case files, reports and records to support legal decisions, monitoring and statutory returns.
• Work with landlords, internal teams and external partners to secure sustainable housing solutions and positive outcomes.
