Location: Merseyside (HQ based with flexible working)

Rate: Β£28.74 ph PAYE (flexible holiday pay options)
Contract: Temporary, 10 Months
Working Pattern: Full Time or Flexible Hours
Hybrid Working: Yes β onsite presence required at key stages
The Role
We are supporting a large public sector organisation in the recruitment of an experienced IS Project Manager to lead the delivery of critical information systems projects. This role sits within a busy digital transformation environment and will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of IT and business application projects, ensuring solutions are delivered effectively, efficiently, and in line with organisational priorities. The successful candidate will bring strong project leadership capability, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and proven experience delivering technology projects β including hands on involvement with Salesforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the delivery of multiple IT and business system projects from initiation through to completion.
- Gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into clear technical and operational solutions.
- Develop project scopes, plans, timelines, budgets, and governance documentation.
- Coordinate internal teams and external suppliers to ensure successful delivery and smooth implementation.
- Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and performance, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and cross department collaboration to drive progress and decision?making.
- Manage change requests, balancing business needs with cost, risk, and delivery constraints.
- Provide clear, structured reporting to senior stakeholders on project status, achievements, risks, and benefits.
You Will Need (Essential Requirements)
- Proven experience delivering IT systems projects, including demonstrable Salesforce project delivery.
- Formal project management training or qualification (PRINCE2, Agile, MSP, PMP or equivalent).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with confidence influencing at senior levels.
- Excellent project planning, organisation, and documentation skills.
- Experience managing suppliers and third party delivery partners.
Desirable Experience
- Experience delivering multiple concurrent projects within a complex public sector environment.
- Strong business analysis and requirements gathering capability.
- Broad understanding of information systems and software implementation methodologies.
- Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence without direct line management.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery.
