What’s involved with this role: Interim Complex Repairs Surveyor – Asset ManagementReference no: Ealing 8180-1Pay Rate: £28.81 per hour PAYE 35 Monday – Friday, normal working hoursThis opening assignment is for 3 monthsCity: EALING, LONDONNote the role will require ladder and scaffold access to some projects.Key responsibilities:
Clearly specify all required works for contractor delivery.
Manage/quality inspect works when presented by the contractor both during and upon completion of works in accordance with the specification and ensure an electronic record is kept of inspections.
Ensure the contractor is delivering a high quality, customer-focussed service.
Adhere strictly to the Councils Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
Advise the relevant manager of any concerns regarding quality or deviation from the agreed specification.
Attend weekly L1 performance meetings and provide feedback on progress.
Instruct and direct the contractor where minor changes are required on site as a result of discoveries during the works and advise the relevant manager on a weekly basis so that formal instructions may be issued.
Immediately report to the relevant manager any immediate Health and Safety concerns
Liaise regularly with residents.
Ensure contractors adhere to their on-site contractual obligations.
Key requirements:
A suitable qualification from an appropriate body such as, CIOB: RICS: CIH
Possession of a vehicle and a clean driving licence.
Knowledge of construction and maintenance in a Social Housing environment.
Knowledge of health & safety legislation and processes in relation to social
housing.
Knowledge of housing management systems.
Demonstrable experience and knowledge of building construction
Trade role experience
Experience of delivering a customer-focussed service.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Possess excellent organisational skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to give technical advice to contractors/residents.
Desirable:
A relevant housing qualification.
