As we continue to grow as a leading brand in showering, we have a great opportunity for an Apprentice Design Engineer, who is enthusiastic and adaptable to join the Product Development Team at our Nuneaton offices. Reporting to the Product Development Manager you will work alongside a team of experienced engineers to obtain skills and knowledge to undertake the testing/validation of components and products within the development testing facilities.
Main Functions:
- Undertake and successfully complete training through MGTS in Coventry, up to HNC level. (First 12 months full time at MGTS)
- On site training at Triton, understanding the wide range of skills and processes required to be a Design Engineer at Triton
- Undertake the creation of 3D CAD models and drawings in SolidWorks
- Set up test systems/equipment for testing programmes designed to meet regulatory standards and performance levels specified for safety, function, and reliability.
- Ensure products are tested and compliant with the agreed design criteria and submit reports for approval.
- Assist with the maintenance of Triton’s MRP system with respect to engineering changes gaining understanding of engineering Bill of Materials.
- To perform any other duties appropriate to the role
Key skills essential:
- 5 GCSE grades 9-4 (A-C) including maths, English and science (Overall)
- Computer literate in Microsoft packages
- An interest in engineering and engineering applications, working with water systems
- Willingness to learn
