Help Keep the World Moving, One Charger at a Time. At Tritium, we build the technology that powers the future of clean mobility. Our fast chargers are already helping drivers go electric in UK, Europe, US, and Australia - and we're just getting started.

We're looking for a Power Electronics Support Engineer who loves solving tough problems across hardware, software, networks, and power electronics. If you enjoy digging into Linux logs, tracing OCPP messages, and also understand how electrical current flows through power modules, this role is for you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Troubleshooting issues across chargers - hardware, software, power electronics, and comms (including OCPP).
  • Using Linux tools and diagnostics to get to the root of problems.
  • Analysing power flow and system behaviour to identify faults.
  • Working with our development teams to fix bugs and improve products.
  • Helping clients get set up and integrated smoothly.
  • Writing clear support documents and making processes better.
  • Testing new hardware/software and giving feedback before launch.
  • Spending some time in our Coventry lab, hands-on with the equipment.

What We'd Love You To Have

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred - or equivalent experience demonstrating power electronics and system diagnostics capability.
  • Hands-on experience in electrical engineering, power systems, or a related trade - whether through an apprenticeship, vocational training, time-served experience, or self-taught practice.
  • Experience working in electrical engineering, power systems support, field engineering, or systems troubleshooting.
  • A solid understanding of AC/DC power flow, converters, and power electronics systems.
  • Comfortable working with Linux, networking tools, and diagnostic utilities - formal training not required, just a willingness to dig in.
  • An interest in IT systems, comms protocols, and how software and hardware interact.
  • Curiosity about (or experience with) OCPP and network communication protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical people.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a global team.
  • Experience in B2B technical support or customer-facing roles is a plus.

Why Tritium

  • You'll be part of a team making EV charging more reliable and accessible.
  • Work on cutting-edge charging hardware and power electronics.
  • Hybrid flexibility + some travel to keep things interesting.
  • Access to our Coventry lab to stay close to the tech.
  • Global exposure with teams in UK, Europe, US, and Australia.

Benefits

  • Pension; MediCash; Employee Assistance Programme; and much more.

And you'll be helping accelerate the shift to Net Zero.
