We are Tritility, a growing commercial energy consultancy based in the North East. About the role

Reporting to our Finance Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Daily reconciliations of bank accounts and credit card accounts
  • Maintain the debtor's ledger and process invoices and self-bills
  • Assistance in monthly management accounts, including maintaining the fixed asset schedule and processing prepayments and accruals
  • Support with month end journals
  • Assisting with the processing of payroll
  • Support in the preparation for annual audits

The role is based at our office in Jarrow, just south of Newcastle, covering our standard working hours of Monday to Thursday: 8:30am-5:00pm, and Friday: 9:00am-3:00pm with no evenings, no weekends, and an early finish every Friday!

What you'll bring

The ideal candidate will be a team player who is proactive, efficient, and keen to take ownership of tasks and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Experienced with journal posting
  • Experience as a Finance Assistant or Bookkeeper
  • Studying towards or recently completed AAT
  • Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office - predominantly Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to respond to changing demands and can prioritise work effectively
  • A problem-solver with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle confidential information sensitively
