We are Tritility, a growing commercial energy consultancy based in the North East. About the role

Reporting to our Finance Manager, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily reconciliations of bank accounts and credit card accounts.
  • Maintain the debtor's ledger and process invoices and self-bills.
  • Assistance in monthly management accounts, including maintaining the fixed asset schedule and processing prepayments and accruals.
  • Support with month-end journals.
  • Assisting with the processing of payroll.
  • Support in the preparation for annual audits.

What you'll bring

The ideal candidate will be a team player who is proactive, efficient, and keen to take ownership of tasks and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • 2 years plus experience as a Management Accountant in a busy finance department.
  • Enhanced Excel user, including lookups and pivot tables.
  • Experienced with journal posting.
  • Experience as a Finance Assistant or Bookkeeper.
  • Studying towards or recently completed AAT.
  • Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office – predominantly Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to respond to changing demands and can prioritise work effectively.
  • A problem-solver with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information sensitively.
  • Previous experience working for SME, high-growth, fast-paced organisations is essential, such as Prof Services, SaaS, Technology, Consulting, or Procurement.

The role is based at our office in Jarrow, just south of Newcastle, covering our standard working hours of Monday to Thursday: 8:30am-5:00pm, and Friday: 9:00am-3:00pm with no evenings, no weekends, and an early finish every Friday.
