The Role

As Learning & Development Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, delivering and embedding high-impact learning and sales coaching that drives measurable performance improvement across the business. With a strong focus on sales capability, conversion and commercial effectiveness, as part of the People & Culture team, you will support the sales organisation to ensure colleagues are developing continuously and performing consistently at a high level. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment and understands how learning, coaching and performance link directly to commercial outcomes. You will balance structured training with practical, in-the-moment coaching, using data and insight to shape your approach and maximise impact. Your work will directly support individual performance, team effectiveness and the ongoing growth of Tritility’s sales capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver and continuously improve sales-focused learning and development programmes across the business
  • Deliver effective sales coaching that improves individual and team performance, conversion and consistency
  • Create and maintain structured onboarding programmes that accelerate time to competence for new starters
  • Work closely with Sales Leadership to identify capability gaps and implement targeted development solutions
  • Embed coaching frameworks that are practical, commercial and aligned to business objectives
  • Observe performance and provide constructive, actionable feedback
  • Support and upskill managers to coach effectively within their teams
  • Own and track learning and coaching KPIs, including capability uplift and sales outcomes
  • Use data and insight to evaluate the impact of L&D activity and refine approach where required
  • Ensure all learning solutions are commercial, relevant, engaging and results-driven
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and high performance

About You

This role will suit an experienced Learning & Development or Coaching professional who understands sales environments and is confident operating in a commercially driven organisation. You’ll bring:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior Learning & Development or coaching role within the B2B energy sector
  • Proven background in sales performance improvement, conversion optimisation or revenue enablement
  • Experience working closely with Sales leaders and senior stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of coaching methodologies and how to apply them commercially
  • Confidence using data, insight and metrics to drive learning decisions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
  • High personal standards, resilience and a proactive mindset
  • Strong proficiency across Microsoft Office

Working Pattern

This is an office-based role in Jarrow, aligned with our standard working hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm - Friday: 9:00am–3:00pm (No evenings, no weekends, early finish every Friday.)
