This is a role for someone who enjoys building real systems, configuring hardware, solving problems in the field, and making networks behave exactly as intended.
Key Responsibilities
- Network & Communications Architecture
- Design and document end‑to‑end comms architectures for USVs and AUVs (radio, satellite, cellular, mesh, Wi‑Fi, acoustic).
- Develop routing strategies, link redundancy, failover paths, and network configurations.
- Define and maintain IP schemes, VLANs, firewall rules, QoS, bandwidth allocation, and encryption.
- Integration & Testing
- Configure and integrate routers, switches, modems, radios, antennas, cloud‑hosted routers, and onboard compute.
