A growing, design-led Chartered Financial Planning firm in South East London is looking to appoint an Operations Manager to support the next phase of its growth. With over £100m Assets Under Advice and a clear trajectory toward £250m, this is a newly created role where you’ll take ownership of how the business runs day-to-day. This is not a corporate “middle management” role – it’s a hands-on position where you will build, improve and take control of operational systems, processes and infrastructure across the firm.
You will act as the central point of coordination across the business, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Key areas include:
- CRM & Data Management – Owning and developing the firm’s CRM (HubSpot), ensuring data integrity and effective workflows
- Pipeline Oversight – Monitoring deal progression, identifying bottlenecks and ensuring client journeys move seamlessly
- Operations & Workflow – Managing processes across onboarding, servicing and internal coordination
- Team Coordination – Supporting workload distribution across the support team and keeping everything aligned
- Compliance Support – Tracking key deadlines and ensuring operational readiness for regulatory requirements
- Systems & Infrastructure – Overseeing internal systems (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, CRM) and improving efficiency
- AI & Automation – Supporting a forward-thinking, tech-enabled approach to improving processes
You’ll likely come from a financial planning / wealth management / professional services environment, and already have strong exposure to the operational side of a business. We’re particularly interested in individuals who are:
- Currently working as an Operations Manager, Practice Manager, Client Services Manager or Office Manager
- Highly organised, detail-driven and naturally process-oriented
- Comfortable working with CRM systems (HubSpot experience beneficial but not essential)
- Proactive and solutions-focused – you see problems and fix them
- Confident coordinating teams and keeping things on track
- Interested in improving how businesses operate through systems, structure and technology
A genuine opportunity to shape how a growing firm operates. High level of ownership and autonomy in a newly created role. A collaborative, down-to-earth team environment. A business actively embracing AI and modern systems. Clear growth trajectory and long-term opportunity.
