The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, 35 hours per week

Reporting to: Sales Director

Purpose

The BDM plays a vital role in developing sustained growth in the commercial market. The BDM will be responsible for the management, development, and growth of a strong network of loyal customers in their area. The ASM will understand customer needs and work with other company departments to provide the support needed for growth.

Main Duties

  • Identify and target potential business clients, including builders, contractors, and retailers, through market research and networking.
  • Generate qualified leads and develop a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships by understanding client needs, challenges, and objectives.
  • Conduct compelling sales presentations and demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure profitable deals, ensuring all aspects of the deal align with company objectives and policies.
  • Provide exceptional post-sales support, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Monitor and share market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and forecasts, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions using CRM software.
  • Attend events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote company products and services.

Essential Experience / Skills

  • Prior commercial experience within the façade industry.
  • Numerate and technically competent.
  • Confident and engaging presenter.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and organised approach focused on taking meaningful action to consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances.
  • Developed sales approach based on building long‑term, valuable relationships, with the ability to understand customer needs and proactively present tailored solutions.
  • Collaborative team member who builds trust, communicates respect, and utilises others\’ diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Experience in estimating/tendering projects in the façade industry.
  • Familiarity with UK‑specific regulations, sustainability standards, and market trends.
  • Strategic mindset with a strong data‑driven approach, along with analytical and targeted strategies and problem‑solving skills.
  • Resilient, with the ability to bounce back and persevere in the face of challenges.
