Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team. This role will focus on expanding our market reach promoting premium paint products, plasters, and renders to merchants, architects, and specifiers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong background in paints, an understanding of the construction and coatings market, and the ability to work independently with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand our presence in the UK.
- Promote a range of high-quality products, including paints, plasters, and renders, to a diverse client base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, architects, specifiers, and existing clients.
- Understand and articulate the value proposition of our premium offerings, ensuring clients appreciate the pricing model.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends, particularly in spray plasters and overcoating existing buildings.
- Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to provide solutions that meet client needs.
- Achieving sales targets, contributing to an estimated turnover of £3M.
- Report on market conditions, sales results, and client feedback.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development within the paints or construction-related field.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate entrepreneurial flair to capitalise on market opportunities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
Compensation:
- Competitive salary of circa £60K, with OTE bonuses between £6K and £10K.
- Company car and additional benefits.
