A well-established and growing UK manufacturer within the roofing and building envelope sector is looking to appoint a technically strong Product Support Manager to strengthen its Technical Services team. This is a key role focused specifically on metal roofing systems, particularly standing seam and commercial/industrial applications.
The Role
- Writing and approving bespoke metal roofing specifications
- Producing thermal calculations and technical drawings (AutoCAD)
- Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and CDM 2015
- Providing technical support to contractors and sales teams
- Conducting site visits during planning, installation and post-completion stages
- Assisting in project coordination from inception through to delivery
- Delivering product and installation training to internal teams and customers
- Supporting marketing with technical input and documentation
- Maintaining BIM objects, technical data sheets and certification
What We’re Looking For
- Strong technical understanding of metal roofing systems (standing seam essential)
- Experience in specification writing and technical detailing
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Confident working with contractors, consultants and sales teams
- Experience surveying sites and providing practical technical solutions
- Good understanding of Building Regulations and CDM 2015
- Comfortable presenting and delivering technical training
