TristoneNash have partnered with a highly reputable social housing provider who is seeking to appoint an Income Officer.
Location: Gloucestershire
Start date: ASAP
Home-working: Three days working from home per week
Length of Contract: 12 months
Pay: £32,750 to £33,050
Hours of work: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Your duties in this role would include:
- Chasing rent arrears from tenants, ranging in value of account
- Arranging repayment plans with tenants and giving out benefits/UC advice
- Offering advice on housing benefits to clients
- Enabling clients to maximise their income
- Attending clients' homes for visits to discuss their rental accounts
- Handling court paperwork process, attending court if required and service notices
- Helping clients to sustain their tenancies and signposting them to external support services
Essential requirements for this role:
- Ability to support clients, ensuring they understand any issues and advising them
- Experience in chasing rent arrears in some capacity
- Ability to manage a patch of properties and manage time effectively
