Tristonenash are working with a registered social landlord, who are looking to recruit a Decorator on a temp to perm basis.
We're looking for a skilled Decorator to join their Planned Kitchens & Bathrooms team, helping transform customers' homes through the improvement programme. You'll be working across Eastleigh, Hampshire and the surrounding areas.
As part of the team, you'll play an important role in completing planned refurbishment projects, carrying out all associated decorating works following kitchen and bathroom installations. From preparing surfaces and carrying out repairs to delivering a professional finish, you'll help ensure every project is completed to the highest standard.
Duties will include:
- Carrying out decorating works associated with planned kitchen and bathroom refurbishment projects.
- Preparing surfaces, making good repairs and delivering high-quality finishes in customers' homes.
- Providing a professional, customer-focused service and keeping customers informed throughout the work.
- Managing materials effectively and completing jobs safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Working closely with colleagues and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and to the best possible quality.
We are looking for someone with:
- Minimum City & Guilds qualification in Tiling and or Painting & Decorating up to advanced craft level, time served experience in tiling and painting & decorating, or NVQ level 2 qualification in Tiling or Painting & Decorating.
- Experience of carrying out tiling and decoration work in a similar role within a housing organisation or in-house contractor.
- Knowledge and understanding of the range of policy, practical, and technical issues relevant to the provision of carrying out repairs, tiling and redecorations.
- Experience of working as part of a trade team delivering to tight timescales.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Full driving licence.
