TristoneNash are supporting a housing provider in their search for a qualified Surveyor that specialises in commercial and residential disposals.
This role will assist and execute with the disposal and transformation activity as defined by the Strategic Asset Management (SAM) strategy. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering disposal targets across all asset types, managing transfer projects, and supporting regeneration and retrofit initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying, appraising, and delivering disposal opportunities, including tenanted portfolio sales and individual unit disposals.
- Using asset grading models and stock profiling to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborating with internal teams (Customer and Neighbourhood, Lettings, Localities, Compliance, etc.) to develop bespoke strategies for each locality.
- Supporting feasibility studies for regeneration and redevelopment opportunities.
- Ensuring governance, compliance, and risk management across all disposal and transformation projects.
- Preparing and presenting options appraisals and project documentation to relevant committees.
- Overseeing and assisting with strategic asset management and day-to-day management of the commercial portfolio; including financial modelling, leasing and letting of vacant units, lease renewals, rent reviews.
- Monitoring budgets, expenditure, and ensuring alignment with audit and authority levels.
- Maintaining strong relationships with consultants, valuers, agents, and stakeholders.
Experience required:
- Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) qualification.
- Strong commercial acumen and financial literacy.
- Experience in property transactions and commercial asset management.
- Demonstrable project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, MEES 2015, etc).
