TristoneNash are working with a provider of social housing to assist them with their search for an External Fire Safety Contracts Manager. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing fire safety and building safety major works across all building categories, ensuring compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (FSO 2005) and the Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA 2022). You will oversee contracts, project delivery, financial forecasting, procurement of consultants, and act as the client-side competent person for critical projects.
Duties will include:
- Managing fire safety and building safety major works projects from inception to completion. Conducting risk assessments for each project & ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
- Overseeing contractor and consultant performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory standards.
- Developing and maintaining financial forecasts, monitoring project expenditure and providing regular financial reports.
- Undertaking regular site inspections to assess the quality of works and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
To apply for this position we are looking for:
- Qualification to HNC level in a building related discipline and / or demonstrable experience of working in a similar role within a housing association or contractor.
- Knowledge of fire safety and building safety regulations, including FSO 2005 and BSA 2022.
- Ideally a Fire Safety qualification for example NEBOSH or Fire Risk Assessment.
- Strong experience in managing contractors and consultants within major works projects.
- Demonstrable analytical skills encompassing strong financial capabilities.
- Strong understanding of Fire risk assessments and key performance indicators (KPIs) in construction projects.
- Experience in site inspections and quality control.
- Ability to develop financial forecasts and monitor budgets.
- Full Driving licence with use of own vehicle.
