TristoneNash are delighted to be supporting a leading housing provider in the recruitment of a Building Surveyor to join their Property Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor or Project Surveyor to oversee a varied programme of one-off capital projects and leasehold works. The role combines technical surveying, contract management and quality assurance, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for managing projects from inception through to completion, undertaking site inspections, monitoring contractor performance and ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and contract requirements.
  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Undertaking site inspections and quality control checks at key project milestones.
    • Carrying out weekly Health and Safety duties under CDM.
    • Identifying building defects and recommending appropriate repair solutions.
    • Producing work schedules and technical specifications for tender.
    • Managing contractors and undertaking contract administration duties.
    • Chairing monthly contractor progress meetings.
    • Processing final valuations, contractor variations and purchase orders.
    • Monitoring project quality, programme and budget.
    • Ensuring all works comply with relevant legislation and company standards.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has: A minimum HNC qualification.
