Job description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Van Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of customer service. This position requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Duties
- Operate a van for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Navigate routes effectively, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
- Communicate with warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Assist in loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any discrepancies.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
Skills
- Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients, ensuring clarity in all interactions.
- Experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, is an advantage.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record and valid driver\’s licence.
