Magnus Search currently has an excellent opportunity for dedicated, reliable Class 1 drivers working with one of the world’s leading supply chain and logistics companies.
Position Overview:
As a class 1 trunk driver, you\’ll be completing trunk runs between local and regional distribution centres. This will primarily be trailer swapping, however some stops may require you to wait on the bay whilst your trailer is tipped. This will be general linehaul work with full and empty units, including double deck trailers.
Shifts:
- Afternoon/evening starts available between 15:00-21:00
- Guaranteed 8 hours paid per shift, with overtime rates after your first 8
- We get regular bookings between Monday and Friday as well as weekend routes on a regular basis at higher pay rates
- A typical run is approximately 12 hours, meaning you\’ll get a good amount of overtime pay
Requirements:
- Full UK HGV Class 1 drivers license (C+E)
- In date UK issued CPC and digital tachograph cards
- No more than 6 penalty points (no DD/IN endorsements etc)
- You must have held you class 1 entitlement for over 12 months and have 6 months checkable driving history on your tacho card
Pay rates:
- £18.20 – First 8 hours of shift
- £23.44 – Overtime
- £21.89 – Saturday (plus overtime rate after 8)
- £24.44 – Sunday (flat rate)
- Minimum 8 hours pay guaranteed; paid on a weekly basis through PAYE
This position offers excellent earning potential, our drivers can earn between £750 – £1000+ per week depending on hours!
