About the Role
Wakefield is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Integrated Front Door (IFD) / MASH team. This is a fast-paced frontline role where you will help ensure that children and young people at risk receive the right support at the right time. Wakefield’s Integrated Front Door provides a single gateway for all safeguarding concerns relating to children and vulnerable young people. The service brings together a multi-agency workforce to enable early identification of risk, timely information sharing, and coordinated decision-making. This role requires an experienced practitioner who can hit the ground running and confidently work within a busy environment where timely decisions are critical to safeguarding children.
Responsibilities
- Screen and assess incoming referrals regarding child safety and welfare.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to gather and analyse information.
- Identify risks and unmet needs at the earliest opportunity.
- Make timely and proportionate decisions regarding safeguarding and support pathways.
- Provide high-quality analysis and decision-making within strict MASH timescales.
- Maintain accurate and clear case records.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and seek management advice where required.
