Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker with a passion for supporting children and young people in care? Wigan Council is seeking a qualified and compassionate Children’s Social Worker to join our Fostering and CIC team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold and manage a caseload of children in foster care or other placements.
- Undertake statutory visits, assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with legislative and local frameworks.
- Work closely with foster carers, families, schools, and multi-agency professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Prepare clear, concise, and evidence-based reports for reviews, court, and other professional forums.
- Ensure safeguarding is at the heart of every decision and intervention.
