Social Worker – Children & Families Locality Team

Central Bedfordshire Council is recruiting experienced Children's Social Workers who are passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children and families.
You will work with families from assessment onwards, supporting children through Child in Need, Child Protection and court proceedings, while building meaningful relationships and delivering effective interventions.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of children and families
- Complete high-quality assessments and direct work with children
- Undertake Child in Need and Child Protection work
- Contribute to court proceedings where required
- Chair multi-agency meetings
- Work closely with partner agencies
- Develop creative and evidence-based interventions
- Ensure children's voices, views and lived experiences are central to practice
The ideal candidate will have
- At least 5 years' post-qualifying experience
- Strong children's social care experience
- Experience managing complex caseloads
- Experience with CIN, CP and court work
- Strong assessment and report-writing skills
- Excellent communication and partnership-working abilities
Rate: £39 per hour
