We are seeking an experienced Assessment Social Worker to join a busy children’s services team in Warwickshire , based in the Stratford-upon-Avon area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled social worker to join a supportive team and play a key role in assessing children and families, identifying risks and needs, and ensuring positive outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake high-quality assessments of children and families.
- Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring statutory duties and timescales are met.
- Identify safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action to protect children.
- Develop and implement effective care and support plans.
- Work collaboratively with children, families and partner agencies.
- Attend and contribute to meetings, reviews and multi-agency discussions.
- Maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive case records.
- Ensure all work is child-centred and focused on achieving the best possible outcomes.
Requirements:
- Social Work England registration.
- Relevant Social Work qualification.
- Previous experience within children's social care, particularly assessment and safeguarding.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication, assessment and report-writing skills.
- Ability to manage a complex caseload independently.
