Learning Disabilities Social Worker – London Borough of Merton Up to £32 per hour Are you a passionate and skilled social worker dedicated to making a real difference in people\’s lives? The London Borough of Merton is seeking a motivated Learning Disabilities Social Worker to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, person-centred care to adults with learning disabilities and autism. The Role As a Learning Disabilities Social Worker, you will be instrumental in delivering social work practice in line with the Care Act 2014. You will manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring that adults with learning disabilities and autism receive the support they need to live fulfilling lives. Your work will involve undertaking statutory duties, contributing to safeguarding efforts, managing risks, and helping to improve our services. Key Responsibilities * Care Management & Casework: You will be responsible for the full range of Care Act duties, including conducting assessments, creating support plans, and completing reviews and risk assessments. * Statutory Duties: You will carry out statutory duties under relevant legislation, such as the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS). * Safeguarding: You will undertake safeguarding enquiries in line with our multi-agency procedures and the principles of \”Making Safeguarding Personal.\” * Case Management: You will manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring all records are timely and accurate using systems like Mosaic. * Team Duty: You will participate in the team duty system, responding to new referrals, emergencies, and safeguarding concerns as they arise.
