Community Occupational Therapist Role
Location: Shefford, Bedfordshire
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing
- To be a Specialist Occupational Therapist responsible for providing a high standard of assessment, advice, treatment and evaluation of clients referred to the integrated services within the locality. This may include clients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, including neurological conditions.
- To work as part of a multi professional service, within the community setting, working with clients towards rehabilitation, self-management and independence throughout the continuum of care, to improve their outcomes.
- To work as an autonomous professional according to the Health and Care Professions Council’s regulations.
- To supervise, educate and assess performance of students. This would be to a graduate level and involve working with the universities to ensure the standard of practice and teaching meets the standards set by the degree level qualification.
- Work without direct supervision; to hold responsibility for own caseload and supporting the management structure in place to promote the provision of an excellent service.
