About the Role: Wokingham is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Social Worker to join our busy Adult Social Care locality team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner who can confidently manage complex caseloads while providing high‑quality, person‑centred practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide professional oversight to qualified social workers.
- Complete Care Act assessments (S9 and S11) to a high standard, including work on complex S42 enquiries, safeguarding investigations and risk management plans.
- Manage a demanding and varied caseload, balancing competing operational priorities effectively.
- Contribute to court work and ensure accurate, timely documentation.
- Use Mosaic confidently (or demonstrate the ability to learn new systems quickly).
Requirements:
- A strong, assertive decision‑maker able to work at pace in a fast‑moving locality team.
- An excellent communicator who works collaboratively and supports a positive team culture.
- Highly skilled in risk assessment and risk management, with proven experience in safeguarding adults.
- Someone who thrives in a busy, dynamic environment and can deliver consistently high‑quality practice.
