Tripod Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join Brent Council's Children's Social Care service on a locum basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled social worker looking to take on a senior role within a busy local authority environment and make a positive difference to children, young people and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied and complex caseload within Children’s Social Care.
- Undertake assessments and develop effective plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
- Work collaboratively with children, families, carers and partner agencies.
- Identify and manage risk, ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are met.
- Prepare and contribute to reports, reviews and relevant statutory processes.
- Promote positive outcomes and support children and families to achieve sustainable change.
- Work in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and professional standards.
- Demonstrate professional leadership and support colleagues where required.
Requirements
- Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
- Significant experience working within Children’s Social Care.
- Previous experience working at a Senior Social Worker level.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, assessment and statutory social work practice.
- Excellent communication, organisation and case-management skills.
- Ability to work confidently with complex cases and multi-agency professionals.
- Commitment to child-centred and strengths-based practice.
