Senior Practitioner needed for our Learning Disability and Neurodiverse Team, paying between £32 - £35 per hour.

Role: Qualified Social Worker – Children's Services
About the role:
Southampton is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Learning Disability and Neurodiverse Team. This role will support the Team Manager and provide strong leadership, oversight and practice guidance within a fast-paced statutory service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Team Manager with day-to-day operational and practice oversight
- Line management of qualified and unqualified staff
- Chairing Best Interest Meetings and Safeguarding Meetings
- Providing practice advice, guidance and reflective supervision to staff
- Holding a small, complex caseload alongside senior and management duties
- Ensuring statutory responsibilities are met under the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act
Essential Experience and Skills:
- Significant experience working with adults with learning disabilities
- Strong working knowledge of the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act
- Confident decision-maker with excellent leadership and communication skills
- Experience chairing multi-disciplinary meetings
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively within a high-demand environment
- Comfortable working at pace while maintaining quality and oversight
