About the Role:

Leicestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Family Support Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead impactful social work, guiding families through complex challenges and helping improve outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert support and guidance to Family Support Workers and Social Workers.
• Manage a caseload of complex family support cases, using a strength-based approach.
• Undertake assessments, care planning, and direct work with families and children.
• Contribute to safeguarding and child protection plans, attending multi-agency meetings as required.
• Ensure service delivery complies with statutory regulations and best practice standards.
• Support the Team Manager in supervising and mentoring junior staff and deputising when necessary.
