About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead a Children in Care team. This is a key leadership role within Children’s Services, ideal for a confident manager with strong local authority experience and a proven ability to support high-quality practice and performance. You will be responsible for overseeing frontline practice, supervising staff, managing risk, and ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people in care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational and practice leadership to a Children in Care team
- Supervise and support social workers to deliver high-quality statutory practice
- Ensure compliance with legislation, safeguarding procedures, and timescales
- Oversee care planning, permanency planning, and LAC processes
- Manage performance, quality assurance, and risk escalation
- Work collaboratively with senior leaders and multi-agency partners
