Are you a passionate and dedicated Social Worker ready to make a real difference in children\’s lives? Southend-on-Sea City Council is looking for experienced and committed Child Protection Social Workers to join our dynamic Children\’s Services team.
About the Role:
You will play a vital role in safeguarding children, supporting families, and ensuring the best outcomes for vulnerable young people. Working in a multi-agency environment, you’ll carry out assessments, manage a caseload, and develop care plans that reflect each child’s unique needs and strengths.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake high-quality, timely assessments in accordance with statutory duties
- Manage a varied caseload including child protection, children in need, and looked-after children
- Develop effective relationships with children, families, and partner agencies
- Prepare and present reports for conferences, reviews, and court proceedings
- Contribute to service development and continuous improvement
