About the Role

We are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join the West Team in Coventry Children’s Services. This is a hybrid role within a busy frontline service, supporting children and families through assessment, safeguarding, and statutory intervention processes. You will be working with children in need, child protection plans, and looked after children, ensuring high-quality assessments and timely interventions to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake Child Protection Enquiries
  • Complete Child and Family Assessments
  • Support children in need, children subject to Child Protection Plans, and looked after children
  • Work with families through Public Law Outline (PLO) processes
  • Initiate and progress court proceedings where required
  • Carry out direct work with children and families to support safeguarding and positive outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with statutory requirements
