Team : Through Care Team Role : Qualified Social Worker Rate : £37.52ph An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join the Through Care Team, working with Children in Care and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC).
This is a rewarding role focused on achieving permanence for children and young people through long-term fostering, progressing care and pathway plans, and supporting them through their journey into adulthood.
Key Responsibilities As a Social Worker in the Through Care Team, you will: Manage a caseload of approximately 15 children and young people.
Work with Children in Care and UASC to secure long-term stability and permanence.
Progress care plans and pathway plans in line with statutory requirements.
Support young people as they transition into adulthood and independent living.
Undertake statutory visits, assessments, and care planning activities.
Build strong, trusting relationships with children and young people, many of whom may have complex needs or immigration-related experiences.
Work collaboratively with foster carers, residential providers, education services, health professionals, and partner agencies.
Contribute to duty rota weeks every 5 weeks, ensuring timely response and support.
Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates must have: Experience working with Looked After Children (LAC) in a statutory social work setting.
Willingness and ability to travel nationally to visit children and young people where required.
Some experience working with Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC).
A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
