Responsibilities
- Complete Connected Person Assessments to evaluate suitability of kinship carers.
- Undertake Special Guardianship (SGO) assessments, including conversion assessments for existing carers.
- Assess both prospective kinship carers and currently approved foster carers.
- Provide clear, professional guidance to carers on the differences and benefits of becoming a Kinship Foster Carer or a Special Guardian.
- Ensure all assessments are thorough, analytical, and completed within required timescales.
- Produce high-quality reports to inform decision-making and court processes where required.
- Work collaboratively with children, families, carers, and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes.
