About the role

We are seeking an Experienced Social Worker to work in our Mid & East team. Working closely with the Team Manager, you will provide professional leadership and supervision to colleagues, support your manager with the day-to-day operations of the team and provide an efficient and effective service to children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Substantial post-qualifying experience, training and development, demonstrating that you are working at an Advanced Social Worker level
  • Experience working within social care, including working in a multi-agency and court environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the legislation, models, and theories relevant to children’s social work.
  • Good recording and planning skills
  • Be able to lead improvement and challenge the quality of social care practice in a constructive manner
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a car
