About the Role
Derbyshire is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Child Protection Team on an immediate basis. This is a fast-paced frontline role, ideal for a confident practitioner who can step in quickly and manage statutory child protection work effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of child protection and children in need cases
- Complete statutory assessments, visits, and care planning
- Undertake Section 47 enquiries and child protection conferences
- Prepare high-quality court reports and legal documentation
- Work closely with multi-agency partners to safeguard children
- Ensure all practice complies with legislation and safeguarding procedures
What we are looking for
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Recent experience within a Child Protection team
- Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding frameworks and court processes
- Ability to start work immediately or at short notice
