We are currently seeking an experienced and committed Child Protection Social Worker to join a team in Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Social Worker with strong child protection experience who is looking for a rewarding role within a supportive children's services environment.
About the role:
As a Child Protection Social Worker, you will:
- Manage a caseload of children and families requiring statutory social work intervention.
- Undertake assessments and develop effective care and protection plans.
- Conduct statutory visits and ensure children’s voices and wishes are central to decision-making.
- Work with families to identify risks, strengths and appropriate support.
- Manage child protection cases in line with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Prepare reports and contribute to child protection conferences, reviews and other statutory meetings.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
