Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Tripod Partners are looking for a Band 6 Pharmacy Technician to join a busy NHS service in Essex. This role is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to provide clinical pharmacy services in a mental health setting, starting ASAP for a period of 12 weeks with a view to extend.

Within this role you will play a key role in delivering pharmacy services across inpatient wards, the Mental Health Urgent Care Department, CMHTs, and other community mental health services. You will work closely with senior pharmacy colleagues to provide expert advice to clinicians, manage medicines reconciliations and reviews, and ensure safe discharge planning for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatient and community mental health teams.
  • Conduct medicines reconciliations, reviews, and support discharge planning.
  • Dispense in-patient, out-patient, and clinical trial prescriptions with attention to detail.
  • Offer support to junior staff and liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe medication practices.
  • Provide education sessions for clinical staff, including advice on medicines usage and dosage.

Requirements:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with experience in a clinical setting.
  • Ability to drive and access to a car.
  • A commitment to safe and effective medication use in mental health settings.
