About The Role
West Berkshire are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Social Worker to join their West Locality Team on a hybrid working basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive Adult Social Care service focused on delivering high-quality, strengths-based interventions to adults with a range of needs and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide a high-quality and effective social work service, responding to adults, carers, and families in a timely manner and within statutory guidelines. Duties will include:
- Safeguarding enquiries and interventions
- Mental Capacity Assessments
- Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
- Assessment and management of risk
- Continuing Healthcare (CHC) work
- Completing assessments and support plans in line with Care Act 2024 principles
- Delivering person-centred, strengths-based social work practice
- Contributing to strategic and service objectives within Adult Social Care
