Staffordshire are seeking an experienced Advanced / Senior Practitioner to join its Duty and Assessment Team. This is a key frontline role, supporting high-quality social work practice at the point of referral and assessment, ensuring timely and proportionate responses to safeguard children and young people. You will provide expert oversight of assessments, support complex decision‐making, and offer professional guidance to Social Workers, contributing to strong outcomes for families and children.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support high‐quality assessments and statutory interventions
- Manage and oversee complex cases, ensuring risks are appropriately identified and managed
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and practice guidance to Social Workers
- Support decision‐making at the front door, including thresholds and safeguarding responses
- Work effectively with partner agencies to ensure coordinated interventions
- Maintain high standards of recording and compliance with statutory guidance
