Senior Social Worker needed for our West Recovery Team in Ealing paying up to £40 per hour.

Location: Ealing

Team: Mental Health Social Care – West Recovery Team

Pay Rate: Up to £40.00 per hour

Are you an experienced Mental Health Social Worker looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Mental Health Social Worker to join our West Recovery Team in Southall. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative service, managing complex cases while providing leadership, supervision, and expert guidance to colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a small but complex caseload, delivering high-quality, person-centred social work practice.
  • Demonstrate expert decision-making in complex mental health cases.
  • Coordinate the team's Duty function alongside fellow Senior Social Workers on a rotational basis.
  • Screen and triage incoming referrals efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and performance data.
  • Provide supervision and support to Adult Social Work Assistants, Social Work Students, and ASYE practitioners.
  • Model best practice, offering professional advice, guidance, and mentoring.
  • Represent the service at multi-agency meetings, including MARAC and MAPPA.
  • Work collaboratively with health and social care partners to achieve positive outcomes for adults with mental health needs.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
  • A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience, ideally within adult mental health services.
  • Significant experience managing complex mental health cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to work confidently within a multi-disciplinary environment.
