The Role

You’ll work within a Children & Families Team, supporting children and young people through a range of statutory responsibilities. This is a dynamic, rewarding role where you’ll build relationships, manage risk, and ensure the best outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake assessments in line with GIRFEC principles
  • Manage a caseload including Child Protection, CIN, and Looked After Children
  • Develop and review care plans and interventions
  • Carry out risk assessments and safeguarding work
  • Work closely with families, carers, and multi‑agency partners
  • Attend and contribute to case conferences and reviews
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date case records

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
  • Recent experience within Children & Families / Safeguarding teams
  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and practice in Scotland
