Advanced Practitioner needed for our Child and Family Services in Leeds, paying £32.50 per hour!

We are seeking an experienced and committed Social Worker to join our busy, supportive Child & Family team. This is an excellent opportunity for a practitioner who is passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children and families through restorative, relationship-based practice.

About the role:

  • You will manage a varied and complex caseload, including:
    • Child and Family Assessments
    • Child in Need (CIN)
    • Child Protection (CP)
    • Child Care Proceedings through to permanence
  • The role includes lead worker responsibilities, working collaboratively alongside other social workers to achieve the best outcomes for children.
  • While you will provide professional leadership within your cases, this position does not include line management or supervisory responsibilities.

Our approach is centred on restorative practice, working in partnership with children and families to promote family-led decision-making, manage risk effectively, and identify strengths that support sustainable change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience managing complex statutory children's social work caseloads.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Child and Family Assessments, Child in Need, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to engage effectively with children and families through direct, child-centred practice.
  • High-quality analytical and assessment skills with the ability to produce clear, evidence-based written work.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of practice and performance.
  • A collaborative approach, contributing positively to a supportive team environment and promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
