Our team is seeking a passionate Children’s Social Worker to join us in providing high-quality support and care to those in need. Position: Children’s Social Worker

Location: North Yorkshire

Pay Rate: £30 - £37.79 ph

Contract: Initial 3-month contract, with potential for extension.

Work Arrangement: Candidates are required to work their first 4 weeks in the office, 5 days per week. The working pattern after this 4 weeks will be reviewed. Typically, our SW team work 1 day from home and 4 days between the office and doing family/children visits.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work
  • Active license to practice as a social worker
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards
  • Ensuring children are at the forefront of interventions and decision making
  • Engaging with families and completing parenting assessments
  • Liaising with partner agencies
  • Ability to respectively challenge parents
  • To always respect and consider people’s life experiences, differences and choices
  • Home visits
  • Managing all aspects of CP and CIN cases
  • Attending and minuting associated meetings
  • Attend professionals meetings
  • Managing cases in proceedings
  • Writing court reports
  • Attending court
  • Writing s7 and s37 court reports
  • To work with a level of autonomy
  • Candidates MUST be 3+ years post qualified to ensure we are following DfE regulations
