About the Role
As a Senior Practitioner, you will
- Hold and manage a caseload of working-age adults with complex mental health and substance misuse needs.
- Provide high-quality social work practice and professional support to colleagues.
- Support the Practice Manager with the effective day-to-day running of the team .
- Provide staff supervision and contribute to the development of practitioners.
- Promote excellent professional standards, safeguarding and person-centred practice.
- Use IT systems and performance reports/data to monitor and support team performance.
- Work collaboratively with health, social care and other partner agencies.
- Respond positively and effectively to a high-demand environment , managing competing priorities and working at pace.
Key Responsibilities
You will be an experienced social care professional with
- Significant Senior Social Worker/Senior Practitioner experience .
- Essential experience working within adult mental health and substance misuse services .
- Proven experience of staff supervision .
- Strong knowledge of social work practice, safeguarding and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Competent IT skills and the ability to interpret and use performance information.
- A positive, supportive and solution-focused approach.
- The ability to work confidently in a busy environment and manage competing demands.
