Leicestershire County Council is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Level 3 Social Worker to join our fast-paced Front Door Assessment Team. We are looking for a practitioner who is passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of children and families.
As a Social Worker, you will handle complex cases, providing expert assessment and intervention while maintaining a high standard of professional practice.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting comprehensive and timely Single Assessments.
- Managing a complex caseload involving Child Protection (CP) and Children in Need (CIN).
- Representing the local authority in Court proceedings, including writing high-quality reports and providing oral evidence.
- Working within a multidisciplinary environment to determine levels of support.
- Section 47 investigations and attending CP conferences.
- Front Door Experience: Proven experience working specifically within a referral and assessment team.
- Court Proficiency: Substantial experience in Court work (Public and Private law).
- Safeguarding Expertise: In-depth knowledge of CP procedures.
- Level 3 Status: Ideally 3+ years post-qualifying experience.
- Professional Registration: Active Social Work England registration.
- Qualification: A recognized Social Work degree.
