Working Pattern: Attend the office in Ferndown at least two days per week as part of a hybrid working arrangement.
About the role
We are currently seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join a dedicated Adult Safeguarding Team based in Ferndown, Dorset. This is a key role focused on protecting vulnerable adults, managing safeguarding enquiries, and promoting wellbeing, independence, and positive outcomes. You will work within a supportive and collaborative team, managing a varied caseload and working closely with partner agencies to ensure effective safeguarding interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete strengths-based assessments and person-centred care planning.
- Manage a complex caseload within Adult Social Care.
- Conduct community visits and home-based assessments.
- Lead on Court of Protection work, including preparing reports and applications.
- Undertake safeguarding enquiries and risk assessments.
- Apply legislation including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and other relevant statutory frameworks.
- Work collaboratively with service users, families, carers, and multi-disciplinary professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records and documentation.
