About the Role:
Cafcass is seeking an experienced and committed Family Court Adviser to support children and families involved in family court proceedings in London.The successful candidate will work with children, parents and other professionals to ensure that the child’s welfare and voice remain central to decision-making. You will undertake assessments, provide independent advice to the court and contribute to safeguarding and case planning.
Key responsibilties:
- Undertake assessments of children and families involved in private and public law proceedings.
- Speak directly with children and ensure their wishes and feelings are appropriately represented.
- Assess safeguarding and welfare concerns and identify risks to children.
- Provide independent, evidence-based advice and recommendations to the Family Court.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports for court proceedings.
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, social workers, legal professionals and other agencies.
- Manage a caseload effectively, meeting court deadlines and professional standards.
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
- Advocate for the best interests of children while ensuring their voices are heard throughout proceedings.
