Experienced Social Worker needed for our Children Looked After Team in South & West Devon, paying £38ph!
About the role
As an Experienced Social Worker within our Corporate Parenting Service, you will build and maintain meaningful relationships with children and young people in care, their families, carers, and professional networks. Focusing on family‑led outcomes, you will work to promote safety, stability, and long‑term positive change. You will manage a varied caseload and provide high‑quality assessments, planning, and interventions that support children to achieve their full potential. This is a fast‑paced and rewarding role where you will model high standards of professional social work practice and contribute to delivering timely, effective services with no drift or delay for children and families. Hybrid working arrangements are available and can be discussed further during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and young people who are looked after by the local authority.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, carers, and partner agencies.
- Undertake high‑quality assessments and care planning.
- Ensure children’s voices remain central to all decision‑making.
- Monitor and review care plans to achieve positive outcomes and permanence.
- Work effectively within multi‑agency and court environments.
- Promote safety, stability, and long‑term wellbeing for children and young people.
- Maintain accurate records and deliver timely, outcome‑focused interventions.
