Tripod Partners are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Band 5 Employee Relations (ER) Advisor to join one of our trusted NHS clients. If you're passionate about people, process, and policy—and thrive in a supportive, fast-paced HR environment.
As an ER Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for HR queries across the Trust, delivering expert, reliable and timely advice in line with policies, procedures, and employment law. You’ll work closely with Senior ER Advisors and the HR Business Partnering team to ensure high-quality HR service delivery across the board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and support on a range of employee relations matters
- Manage complex sickness absence cases from start to resolution (including termination meetings)
- Liaise with Occupational Health and ensure actions and communications are handled professionally and compliantly
- Support cases involving fixed-term contracts, professional registrations, visa renewals, flexible working requests, and probation management
- Exercise autonomy over your time and diary, managing your workload with minimal supervision
- Escalate complex issues where appropriate, while handling day-to-day ER queries confidently and independently
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid background in HR or Employee Relations within a complex organisation (ideally NHS or public sector)
- Strong understanding of UK employment law
- Experience handling absence management, HR casework, and providing HR guidance at all levels
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Compassionate, professional, and confident in dealing with sensitive situations
